At Dream Homes of Cabo, we believe in giving back to the community that serves us so well. Our commitment to make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate begins with two local charities; Liga M.A.C and Casa Hogar de Cabo San Lucas. Each of these organizations provides contributions that enhance the area and improve - and sometimes even save -the lives of the local people.

Liga M.A.C. is a registered Mexican charitable organization made up of volunteer Mexican, American and Canadian members located in the local community of San Jose del Cabo, B.C.S.  With the support of Dream Homes of Cabo, the goal of Liga M.A.C. is to extend a “helping hand” to offer medical assistance and daily necessities, such as food and clothing, to children and adults in need.  

In order to help their fundraising efforts, Dream Homes of Cabo has sponsored annual Liga M.A.C. Jazz Festivals, which showcases the talents of famous musicians and singers, such as blues artist and Grammy Nominee, Marcia Ball. This event provides exposure to the charity and generates large contributions to their cause.

As a result of generous funding, Liga M.A.C. has been able to live up to their motto of “Mano con Mano” and Dream Homes is pleased to “lend a helping hand”.  Donations have enabled them to open a community center, offer food vouchers to qualified families, deliver educational programs, support continuing education, and build alliances with the local hospital to provide members of the community with a wide variety of medical care.

Dream Homes of Cabo is also proud to support Casa Hogar de Cabo San Lucas.  Casa Hogar, which opened in February of 2008, is an orphanage dedicated to serving boys in need in Baja California Sur. The orphanage is currently home to 20 boys, who range from 6-14 years of age, who have been orphaned or abandoned. Casa Hogar is committed to “educating and elevating” each and every child living at the home, to provide them with hope and eliminate their despair.  The dedicated staff at Casa Hogar assigns chores and responsibilities and provides the boys with the opportunity to attend various schools, based on their abilities, in order to integrate them into society as they come of age.

Currently, the orphanage relies completely on donations in order to provide for the necessary education and vocational training these boys require. However, the donations are inadequate to fund their basic needs and they require financial assistance in order to cover the daily operations of the orphanage. Funds are vital for basic necessities such as furniture, clothing, bedding and toiletries. Additionally, it is imperative that they invest in educational toys, as well as basic educational programs, that will challenge and improve the boys’ verbal and social skills while also helping them  to learn English. Outdoor improvements, such as the funds to grow grass, would also be an enormous improvement to their facility and eliminate the need for the children to play in the dirt.

To assist in covering these fundamental needs, Dream Homes of Cabo is proud to partner with National Insurance Partners Company to help organize and sponsor a yearly charitable event called Cabo Celebrity Golf Classic which directly benefits Casa Hogar.  Bill Pollock, the founder and creator of this event, along with Paul and Andrea Geisler, brokers of Dream Homes of Cabo, are dedicated to enhancing the lives of these boys who rely on Casa Hogar as their only home and family.
